Counseling Services
We are currently accepting new medicaid patients or patients who can pay up front in full for services. We are offering support groups beginning July 2 for those who are non-medicaid or can't pay full fees. Mondays @ 6-7 pm; Wednesdays @ 10-11 am, and Fridays @ 2-3 pm are available to anybody needing extra support in their recovery from mental illness. $5.00 fee is charged for this service. No pre-authorization needed for coming to these groups.

Emergency Mental Health Assessment / Referral
Individuals needing emergency mental health assessment/referral services should go to local emergency room. Our Mental Health Professionals will be called by hospital staff to complete the assessments. For assistance in getting there, local law enforcement may be called as well at the following numbers: 262-4186 or 262-4114.

Board of Health Meetings for July '10 to June '11
The Wabash County Board of Health will meet in regular session the second Wednesday of every odd numbered month @ 5:15 pm in the Board Room at Wabash General Hospital at 1418 College Dr. Mt.Carmel, IL. The dates for FY '11 are: July 14, September 8, November 10, January 12, March 9, May 11. The slate of officers for FY '11 will be: Dr. Julko Fullop- President; Cindy Bishop- President-Elect, CJ Peach-Secretary, Other Board Members are: Julie Tennes, Craig Racster, Dr. Henning, Judy Neikirk, and Theresa Marcotte.

Health Care Services @ Wabash Co. Med. Center
The Medical Center provides primary health care for adults and children. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and some Insurance. Uninsured individuals may qualify for a 50 percent discount if family income meets indigent guidelines. Call for an appointment- 263-4970!

Pediatrician Services
Dr. Jones and Dr. Israel provide pediatric care at the Wabash Co. Medical Center at the Depot-1001 N. Market St. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Our pediatric nurse practitioner, Pam Miller can see children Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays. New patients are being accepted now- call 263-4970 for an appointment

Laboratory Services
The health department is now offering laboratory services. You must have a doctor’s order and payment is required day of services. We accept cash, check, credit/debit card. We do not bill third party insurance. Call 618-263-3873 ext 253 to schedule an appointment.

Wabash County Health Dept. is a certified local health department which provides health services to enhance the quality of life of recipients by addressing their emotional, mental and physical health needs. Our annual budget is approximately 1.8 million dollars and we employ approximately 32 full-time employees. Documents immediately available are: Current Year's budget and List of Employees/Titles/Pay and Date of Hire
