The WCHD “BABY BUMP BASICS” program provides prenatal, preconception, and interconception health education through innovative use of social media, text messaging, e-mail, and local media outreach. The program provides prenatal/pre-conception health information to rural women of childbearing age re: smoking cessation, folic acid, referral services, nutrition, birth control/family planning, drug and alcohol use, and other risk factors. The Program Coordinator/RN will provide group and individual information, education, and referral to local women. The Baby Bump Basics Program is funded by a Community Grant from the March of Dimes.
